Dr. Ken Dawson - Veterinarian
Dr. Ken Dawson was born in Nebraska and raised in the Pacific North West.
He moved to Florida 2 years ago with his wife and dog from Washington, to escape the extreme winters. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) at Washington State University and attained his Bachelors in Animal Veterinary Science with a focus on dairy nutrition and management at The University of Idaho.
Dr. Dawson takes pride in giving each and every patient the best possible care, and maintains a special interest in acupuncture. He studied Mandarin and Japanese during his time of teaching English in Japan and China. He met his wife while in Taiwan, studying acupuncture at National Chiayi University. He continued his acupuncture studies at Chi Institute in Florida. Dr. Dawson’s fur family consists of Daisy a 5-year-old Shiba Inu. More recently he adopted Finn, a 1-year old cat that was brought in as a stray barn cat that was hit by a car. His wounds were severe but fortunately with proper treatment and physical therapy he healed well and was able to keep all of his legs. Dr. Dawson enjoys soccer, snowboarding, hiking and spending time with his wife and dog at the park.
